Established in 1924, Southport Surf Life Saving Club was one of the first Clubs in Queensland to establish a Junior activities section currently with over 300 Nippers who participate in regular training sessions and competition each Sunday throughout summer. Our senior Club currently boasts over 250 patrolling volunteers who hold the proud record of ‘no lives lost between the flags’ while on patrol. The iconic Main Beach Pavilion was constructed in the mid 1930s. Today this heritage-listed venue offers everyone a morning coffee and breakfast in the sunshine after your beach walk or swim. The Pavilion’s cafe has a friendly ‘join us at our local’ atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed lunch any day of the week.
