Beach safety this Summer

Beach safety this Summer

With Summer already here our beaches are on everyone’s ‘to do’ list and with very good reason. Our beaches here in South-East Queensland are World famous, drawing in thousands of visitors from all around the World. Many of those visitors are often unaware of the dangers that can occur on our beaches.

Southport Surf Life Saving Club has kept our beach fatality free between the red and yellow flags for almost 100 years and we aim to continue to do so for another 100 years. Take a look at Surf Life Saving Queensland’s Beach Safety Web Page (click here) to see more information about Rip Currents, Sun Safety, Stingers and more.

Stay safe this Summer and enjoy our amazing beaches.
